DScout

I first joined DScout towards the end of 2023. At the time, I was earning through different ways and DScout seemed confusing, so I didn't really start using it until 2024. Once I got a better idea of how to use the app effectively, it has been a great earner for me. You will have the opportunity to do 'missions' that will pay anywhere from $5-$200. Payments are held for 7 days while your submission is under review, then after that will payout immediately to Paypal. I believe they do have a desktop site, but all of the missions need to be applied to on the mobile app.

First, if you are not comfortable submitting videos of yourself, this will not be a good fit for you. Most all of the applications include taking a quick selfie style video talking about the topic. They are under a minute, so you do not have to go into too much detail. Also, alot of the missions include a video of some type too.

When you first join DScout, you will have an introduction mission that will unlock Express Missions. Do this introduction mission! Express Missions are quick and easy, and usually pay anywhere from $5-$25. Express Missions do fill up quickly, so try to grab them up quickly if you see them.

Then there are missions that you need to apply to. These are more lengthy missions and will pay much better. On average anywhere from $50-$200. They usually include visiting a store, submitting pics or videos, multi day diaries, or one on one interviews. These are not hard to do! My last mission paid $75, and all I had to do was complete a survey, go to a specific store, take a few pics of a certain area, then explain why I would or would not shop there. The entire process took me under 30 minutes.

I've seen alot of people say they never get accepted for mission on DScout, and I had that problem at first as well. Just like any other survey site, the missions that are easy to get accepted into fill up very quickly. So if you are only checking the app once or twice a day, it's likely the missions that you are seeing are ones that have particular demographics needed to be accepted into. I try to check at least once an hour to see if any new Express Missions have opened up. Also, I apply for pretty much everything. You really never know what the researchers are looking for, so it's worth the time to spend a couple minutes applying.

Don't over think your application! One of the main things holding me back from using DScout earlier was the hesitation to do the video applications. These don't have to be perfect! Wearing a basic shirt, plain background, and decent lighting will help. You don't need movie star makeup or looks. I have a small desk chair in my room where I can prop my phone up and that's where I do my applications or any focus groups. It has worked just fine and I have never gotten a bad rating on any site.

Overall, if you are willing to put in a little extra effort than the average market research study, you have the opportunity to earn quite a bit from DScout. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I will do my best to answer!
